Kollu Ravindra is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh who served as MLA for Machilipatnam (Assembly constituency) from 2014 until his defeat in 2019. He has also held cabinet ministerial position during his tenure as an MLA. Early life Kollu Ravindra was born in Machilipatnam , Krishna District . He entered into politics in 1998 & became TDP youth president of machilipatnam . Political life Kollu Ravindra entered politics in 1998 as Youth President of the Telugu Desam Party in Machilipatnam, a position he held for ten years. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. From each constituency, the people elect one representative who then becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Krishna District
Krishna district is district in the coastal Andhra Region in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with Machilipatnam as its administrative headquarters. It is the coastal district of Andhra Pradesh. Machilipatnam is the most populated city in the district. It is surrounded on the east by Bay of Bengal, west by Guntur and north by Eluru and NTR districts and south again by Bay of Bengal. In 2022 Krishna district was divided into Krishna and NTR districts. Etymology Krishna district, with its district headquarters at Machilipatnam was formerly called Machilipatnam district.
