The Macao Central Library (; pt, Biblioteca Central de Macau) is a library of the Macao Public Library system, in São Lázaro (Saint Lazarus Parish), Macau. History On 28 September 1895, the National Library of Macau, initially a part of the Liceu de Macau, the Lusophone high school of Portuguese Macau, was first established in St. Augustine’s Church. Macao Public Library
The Macao Public Library (; pt, Biblioteca Pública de Macau) is the public library system of Macau. The head office is on the ground floor of the old building of the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library in São Lourenço (Saint Lawrence Parish). History On 24 September 2019, the opened. São Lázaro
São Lázaro is the smallest civil parish ( pt, freguesia) of Macau, located in the central-east region of the Macau Peninsula. It is surrounded by the parishes of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Santo António, and Sé. This parish was one of five in the former Municipality of Macau, one of Macau's two municipalities that were abolished on 31 December 2001 by Law No. 17/2001, following the 1999 transfer of sovereignty over Macau from Portugal to China. While their administrative functions have since been removed, these parishes are still retained nominally. One-third of its region is covered by (Portuguese: Colina da Guia, Chinese: 松山 or 東望洋山). 3% of factories in Macau are located in the district. Liceu De Macau
Liceu de Macau () was a Portuguese-curriculum public secondary school in Sé, Macau. It was the territory's only public Lusophone secondary school.Clayton, Cathryn H. The ''Macau Daily Times'' () is one of the two daily English-language newspapers published in Macau, launched on June 1, 2007. Overview The paper started life among one English and several Chinese and Portuguese language newspapers. It consists of between 20 and 36 pages. Currently more than 30 journalists and contributors are working with the paper which includes a director, managing editor, contributing editors, reporters and designers.
