São Lázaro
São Lázaro is the smallest civil parish ( pt, freguesia) of Macau, located in the central-east region of the Macau Peninsula. It is surrounded by the parishes of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Santo António, and Sé. This parish was one of five in the former Municipality of Macau, one of Macau's two municipalities that were abolished on 31 December 2001 by Law No. 17/2001, following the 1999 transfer of sovereignty over Macau from Portugal to China. While their administrative functions have since been removed, these parishes are still retained nominally. One-third of its region is covered by (Portuguese: Colina da Guia, Chinese: 松山 or 東望洋山). 3% of factories in Macau are located in the district. Tap Seac Multi-sports Pavilion
The Tap Seac Multi-sports Pavilion (; pt, Pavilhão Polidesportivo Tap Seac) is an indoor sporting arena located in São Lázaro, Macau, China. The land on which the Tap Seac Multi-sport Pavilion sits at present belongs to the Ho-Tung Primary School. It acts as a substitute for the Tap Seac Football Ground which was formerly located diagonally across the road and was demolished to make way for the new Tap Seac Plaza and Pedestrian Zone. The pavilion covers a total area of more than 5,500 square metres and offers a seating capacity of over 4,000. Apart from the main playing area there is also a warm-up hall which provides facilities for basketball training. It is suitable for a variety of indoor sports such as aerobics, gymnastics, and basketball. The venue was officially opened in 2004. Guia Fortress
The Guia Fortress ( pt, Fortaleza da Guia; ) is a 17th-century colonial military fort, chapel, and lighthouse complex in São Lázaro, Macau. The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau. The view of the fortress and the lighthouse has been blocked by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region since 2010. Local citizens and scholars criticised that such a case proved that the Macao government had ignored the conservation of heritage in urban planning. History The Archives of Macao was founded as Macao General Archives (Arquivo Geral de Macau; 澳門總檔案室) on 28 June 1952. In 1979, it was renamed as Historical Archives of Macao (Arquivo Histórico de Macau; 澳門歷史檔案室). In 2016, it was renamed to Archives of Macao.
