MTrans
Scomi Rail, formerly MTrans and Monorail Malaysia, was a Malaysian rail system manufacturer specializing in monorails. A subsidiary of Scomi Group, the company was one of the world's three leading providers of monorail systems, and one of only four globally recognized integrated monorail system providers, meaning that apart from manufacturing rolling stock, it also provided equipment like communication systems, electro-mechanical systems and services such as system integration and project management. In 2019 Scomi Rail was placed in receivership and it is no longer selling its monorail system. History In 1997, the Monorail Malaysia project started as the Kuala Lumpur Monorail project. Klang Valley
Klang Valley () is an urban agglomeration in Malaysia that is centered in the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, and including their adjoining cities and towns in the state of Selangor. Manaus Monorail () is a straddle monorail unfinished for construction in the Brazilian city of Manaus. In February 2012, the Infrastructure Secretariat of Amazonas (Brazilian state), Amazonas signed a contract with a consortium of CR Almedia, Mendes Junior, Serveng and Malaysian rail company Scomi Rail for the construction of the monorail. , construction has yet to begin. The line will have 14 stations, beginning at the São Paulo-Morumbi station and ending at the Jabaquara station, with a branch to Congonhas station, connected to the São Paulo/Congonhas Airport.
