The Nepal Premier League, officially known as Siddhartha Bank NPL for sponsorship reasons, is a men's Twenty20 cricket league held annually in Nepal. Founded by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in 2024, the league features eight provinces/cities-based franchise teams. The inaugural season was held during the 2024 season. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is the official Sport governing body, governing body of cricket in Nepal national cricket team, Nepal. Its headquarters are situated in Mulpani, Kathmandu, Mulpani, Kathmandu District, Kathmandu. It is Nepal's representative at the International Cricket Council and remains an associate member since 1996 Anno Domini, AD (2053 Vikram Samvat, BS). It is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Everest Premier League (EPL) () was a franchise Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by EPL Pvt. Ltd., a private group in Nepal. It was the biggest cricket tournament in the country, played during the northern winter calendar, mostly in the month of December. It was played in Round-robin tournament, round-robin format in which top four teams qualify for the playoffs. The tournament was renowned for having high attendance among the domestic cricket of the List of International Cricket Council members, ICC associate nations. 2024 Men's T20 World Cup
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. Spot-fixing is an illegal activity in a sport in which a specific aspect of a game, unrelated to the final result but upon which a betting market exists, is fixed in an attempt to ensure a certain result in a proposition bet. Examples include something as minor as timing a no ball or wide delivery in cricket or timing the first throw-in or corner in association football. Spot-fixing attempts to defraud bookmakers by a player taking a pre-arranged action to fix the result of that specific event.
