Lukas Enembe
Lukas Enembe (27 July 1967 – 26 December 2023) was an Indonesian politician from Western New Guinea, West Papua, who served as the 13th Governor of Papua (province), Papua Province from April 2013 to January 2023. He had previously served as Regent of Puncak Jaya Regency between 2007 and 2012, and Vice Regent of the same regency from 2001 until 2006. In September 2017, Enembe was called on by the Corruption Eradication Commission as a suspect in a graft case, and later he was named as a witness in a graft case involving misappropriation of scholarship funds in Papua. Five years later, in September 2022, the Corruption Eradication Commission reported that Enembe was a suspect for misappropriation of government funds as he had spent the money in casinos in Singapore and Australia. Cenderawasih University
Cenderawasih University () is a university in Jayapura, Papua province, Indonesia. The university is the leading educational institution in the province. The university has faculties in economics, law, teacher training and education, medical, engineering, and social and political science. Until 2002 the university had a faculty of agricultural sciences at Manokwari, which was then separated to form the Universitas Negeri Papua. The university is divided into two areas: mainly the "Kampus lama" (old campus) which is in the Jayapura suburb of Abepura and the "Kampus baru" (new campus) which is in the hillside of Waena valley. In 2021 it appointed the first woman, Marlina Flassy, to a deanship in its history. The Lukas Enembe Stadium, formerly known as Papua Bangkit Stadium (''Rising Papua Stadium''), is a multi-purpose stadium located within the Lukas Enembe Sports Complex in Nolokla, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Indonesia. Located between the Cyclops Mountains and Lake Sentani, the stadium takes up 71,697 square meters of land and can accommodate more than 40,263 spectators. The Mobile Brigade Corps () abbreviated Brimob is the SWAT, special operations, paramilitary, and Police tactical unit, tactical unit of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). It is one of the oldest existing units within Polri. Some of its main duties are counter-terrorism, riot control, high-risk law enforcement where the use of firearms are present, search and rescue, hostage rescue, and bomb disposal operations. 2018 Papua Gubernatorial Election
The 2018 Papua gubernatorial election took place in Papua, Indonesia on 27 June 2018 as part of the simultaneous local elections. It was held to elect the governor of Papua along with their deputy, whilst members of the provincial council (''Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah'') will be re-elected in 2019. Muhammad Abud Musa'ad (born 22 July 1965) is an Indonesian academic and bureaucrat who is serving as the Acting Governor of Southwest Papua since 9 December 2022. He also held office in the Ministry of Investment as the minister's expert staff for competitiveness improvement. Musaad was previously head of Papua's Regional Development Planning Agency from 2014 until 2019 and Second Assistant to the Papuan Regional Secretary from 2020 until 2022.
