Luis Pérez Meza
Ignacio Pérez Meza (22 May 1917 – 9 June 1981), better known as Luis Pérez Meza or El Trovador del Campo, was a Mexican singer, boxer and actor. He was a singer of banda and ranchera music, he also appeared in several films of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Pérez Meza's holiday home in Mazatlán, Sinaloa served briefly as museum and cultural center. Early life and career Luis Pérez Meza, whose given name was Ignacio (he changed it to that of a brother who died prematurely) was born in La Rastra, in the municipality of Cosalá, Sinaloa. Sources differ as to his date of birth (May or July 1917) to Zenón or Simón Pérez and Isabel Meza. In 1925 he began his studies in Culiacán and between 1931 and 1935 he made his first performances as part of the duo "Chico y Nacho" with Francisco Anzures Parra. Pedro Armendáriz
Pedro Gregorio Armendáriz Hastings (May 9, 1912 – June 18, 1963) was a Mexican-American film actor who made films in both Mexico and the United States. With Dolores del Río and María Félix, he was one of the best-known Latin American movie stars of the 1940s and 1950s. Early life Armendáriz was born in Mexico City, to Pedro Armendáriz García Conde, a Mexican father and Adela Hastings, an American mother. He was also the cousin of actress Gloria Marín. Armendáriz and his younger brother Francisco lived with their uncle Henry Hastings Senior in Laredo, Texas, after their mother died. He later studied in California, attending the California Polytechnic State University from September 1928 to May 1932. Banda Sinaloense El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, often referred to simply as Banda El Recodo, is a Mexican banda formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, in 1938. Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno (; 30 November 1911 – 5 December 1953) was a Mexican singer and actor. He specialized in the musical genre of ranchera. His posthumous album "Fiesta Mexicana Volumen II" has been ranked by critics at No. 163 on their list of the greatest Latin albums of all time. Allá is a rock band formed by three young Chicanos (Mexican-Americans) from Chicago: Jorge Ledezma (guitars, keyboards, vibraphone, composer & producer), his brother Angel Ledezma (drums) and Lupe Martinez (vocals, guitar and keyboards). As inspired by German krautrock ( Can, Faust), '60s pop productions (from Phil Spector to Tamla Motown) and electronica as by Mexican trio music and Brazilian Tropicalia, they aim at producing a kind of psychedelic Latin pop/rock. The National Association of Actors (, ANDA) is the Mexican actors guild. It is a member of the Bloque Latinoamericano de Actores (BLADA, the Latin American Actors' Block) that includes all of the actors' unions in Latin America. The 201st Fighter Squadron () is a fighter squadron of the Mexican Air Force, part of the Mexican Expeditionary Air Force that aided the Allied war effort during World War II. The squadron was known by the nickname ''Águilas Aztecas'' or "Aztec Eagles", apparently coined by members of the squadron during training. The squadron was attached to the 58th Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) during the liberation of the main Philippine island of Luzon in the summer of 1945.
