''Lucky Lu'' is a 2025 American drama film written and directed by Lloyd Lee Choi, in his feature film directorial debut. Adapted from Choi's 2022 short film '' Same Old'', it stars Chang Chen, Fala Chen, and Carabelle Manna Wei. The film had its world premiere at the Directors' Fortnight section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2025, where it was nominated for the ''Caméra d'Or''. Premise A delivery drivers bike is stolen. Lloyd Lee Choi is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He is most noted for his 2022 short film '' Same Old'', which premiered in the short film competition at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, and received an honorable mention from the Best Canadian Short Film jury at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
