The Lucknow Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The metro is owned and operated by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC). The frequency of the metro's services is around 5 - 7 minutes. Along with Delhi Meerut RRTS, Meerut Metro, Noida-Greater Noida Metro, Kanpur Metro and Agra Metro, it is one of the 5 operational metro networks in Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow Charbagh (officially Lucknow NR, station code: LKO) is the largest and busiest railway station of Lucknow city. In 19th century, the next important station in the north after Delhi was Lucknow. It was the headquarters of the Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway (O&RR) whose first line from Lucknow to Kanpur was built in April 1867. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal, (formerly Ambedkar Memorial Park) is a public memorial in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The memorial is dedicated to B. R. Hazratganj, is the downtown and main shopping hub of Lucknow, the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The Bara Imambara (), also known as the Asafi Imambara, is a significant imambara and mosque complex located in Lucknow, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. King George's Medical University
King George's Medical University is a medical university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The medical school was raised to a university by an act passed by the government of Uttar Pradesh on 16 September 2002. It is the only government medical institution to have been awarded the NAAC A+ grade in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The university has about 1250 undergraduate students (including 280 dental students) and 450 postgraduate students.
