Charles Kent Wilson (born January 29, 1953), also known as Uncle Charlie, is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and the former lead vocalist of the Gap Band. As a solo artist Wilson has been nominated for 13 Grammy awards and 11 NAACP Image Awards (including two wins), received a 2009 Soul Train Icon Award, and was a recipient of a BMI Icon Award in 2005. In 2009 and 2020, he was named ''Billboard'' magazine's No. 1 Adult R&B Artist, and his song " There Goes My Baby" was named the No. 1 Urban Adult Song for 2009 in ''Billboard'' Magazine. Erik Nelson is an American Grammy-nominated songwriter, music producer and recording engineer. His first commercial studio, Sinewave Studios, opened in 1994 in Bloomington, IL. It was at Sinewave that Nelson recorded, mixed and mastered the EP "Kill, I Oughtta" for Mudvayne. After Mudvayne's major label debut "L.D. 50", their label, Epic, re-released "Kill, I Oughtta" under the title "The Beginning of All Things to End" with some additional remixes from "L.D. 50". Cameo is an American funk band that formed in 1974. Cameo was initially a 14-member group known as the New York City Players; this name was later changed to Cameo. As of the first half of 2009, some of the original members continued to perform together. Two other original members were hired by the hip hop group Outkast. In 2015, Cameo announced a new residency show at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, opening in March 2016.
