Lopushnia, Lopushnya, sometimes Lopushna (Ukrainian: Лопушня, Polish: Lopuszna, Lopusznia) is a village of 282 people in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in the western part of Ukraine. It is the first village on the highway when entering Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast from the side of Berezhany and Ternopil Oblast. Lopushnia belongs to Rohatyn urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The river Narayivka flows through Lopushnia. In terms of administration the village is subordinated to the village council in Verkhnia Lypytsia, a much larger neighbouring village 2 km away. There are daily bus connections between Lopushnia and Rohatyn, and between Lopushnia and Berezhany. The village is easily accessible by road and public transport. There are vast deposits of limestone in the hills. Limestone is being mined and slaked here. The closest railway station is in Pidvysoke, less than 1 km away. Pidvysoke, Ternopil Oblast
Pidvysoke ( uk, Підвисоке, pl, Podwysokie) is a village of 317 people in Ternopil Raion of Ternopil Oblast in western part of Ukraine. It is situated along the valley of river Narayivka with forested hills (of about 400 meters above sea level) on both sides of the village. It is the first village when entering Ternopil Raion and Ternopil Oblast by highway Stryi-Kirovohrad from the side of Rohatyn and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. There is an important railway station and junction in the village as well as Pidvysoke limestone slaking factory. Vast deposits of limestone are nearby. Rohatyn Raion
Rohatyn Raion ( uk, Рога́тинський райо́н, translit=Rohatynśkyj rajon) was a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (region). The town of Rohatyn was the administrative center of the raion. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Oblast to six. Stratyn
Stratyn (Ukrainian: Стратин, yi, סטרעטין ''Stretin'') is a village and rural municipality in western Ukraine. It lies in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of Ukraine, in the centre of the historic area of Halychyna (Galicia / Galizien / Galicja / Galizia), formerly in Austrian empire (1772–1918), Poland (1365–1772, 1918–1939) and USSR (1939–1941, 1944–1991). Rohatyn Urban Hromada
Rohatyn ( uk, Рогатин, pl, Rohatyn) is a city located on the Hnyla Lypa River in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Rohatyn urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: . Prior to World War II the town was located in Poland. Name It was first mentioned in historical documents in 1184 as a part of the Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia. Its name seems to be derived from Ruthenia, the name of the region of the location. However, the town emblem has a horn of a deer which gives the first part of the Slavic name of Rohatyn or Rogatyn – "Rog" ("Horn"). The second part "Tyn" can be connected with a word which means " Stacket". Together these two words give us "Horn Stacket". Lemkovyna
The Lemko Region (; pl, Łemkowszczyzna; uk, Лемківщина, translit=Lemkivshchyna) is an ethnographic area in southern Poland that has traditionally been inhabited by the Lemko people. The land stretches approximately long and wide along the north side of the Carpathian Mountains, following the Polish- Slovak border from the Poprad River. In the East, the region is described as either terminating linguistically between the Wisłok River Wisłok and Osława Rivers, or ethnographically at the Sanok River (depending on the author), where it meets the Boyko region.
