London Bridge (Victoria)
London Bridge is an offshore natural arch in the Port Campbell National Park, Australia. The arch is a significant tourist attraction along the Great Ocean Road near Port Campbell in Victoria (Australia), Victoria. The stack (geology), stack was formed by a gradual process of erosion, and until 1990 formed a complete double-span natural bridge. The span closer to the shoreline, London Bridge Is Falling Down, sparked comparisons with this nursery rhyme and collapsed unexpectedly on 15 January 1990, leaving two tourists (Kelli Harrison and David Darrington) stranded on the outer span before being rescued by police helicopter. No one was injured in the event. Percé Rock
Percé Rock (, , ) is a huge sheer rock formation in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in Québec, Canada, off Percé Bay. Percé Rock appears from a distance like a ship under sail. It is one of the world's largest natural arches located in water and is considered a geologically and historically rich natural icon of Quebec. It is a major attraction in the Gaspésie region. Etymology The massive rocky cliff is called by several names, such as ''le Rocher Percé'', Pierced Rock, Pierced Island, Split Rock or Percé Rock.
