Lompoc County Splatterheads
Splatterheads were an Australian punk rock band, which formed in 1987. They issued three albums, ''Ink of a Mad Man's Pen'' (1989), ''Bot, the Album'' (1993) and ''Joined at the Head'' (1996), before disbanding in 1996. They re-united in 2010 to perform and released a compilation album, ''Splatter Platter''. History Splatterheads were formed in 1987 as a punk rock band, Lompoc County Splatterheads, by Adrian Carroll on guitar, Simon "Sly" Faulkner ( Sly T-Bone) on guitar and vocals, Christo Fletcher ( Big Guy) on vocals and guitar, Micky Scott on drums and Peter "PT" Thompson on bass guitar. Fletcher, Scott and Thompson shared a house together in Surry Hills when they decided to start a band. They soon recruited Carroll and Faulkner. Punk rock (also known as simply punk) is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Rooted in 1950s rock and roll and 1960s garage rock, punk bands rejected the corporate nature of mainstream 1970s rock music. Fun House (The Stooges Album)
''Fun House'' is the second studio album by American rock band the Stooges. It was released on July 7, 1970, by Elektra Records. Though initially commercially unsuccessful, ''Fun House'' has since developed a strong cult following. Like its predecessor (1969's ''The Stooges'') and successor (1973's '' Raw Power''), it is considered an integral work in the development of punk rock. Recording sessions In 1969, Elektra Records had released the Stooges' debut album to mixed reviews and limited commercial success. Elektra head Jac Holzman believed that the MC5, another Michigan-based band, had more commercial potential than the Stooges. Lagwagon
Lagwagon is an American punk rock band originally from Goleta, California, just outside Santa Barbara, California, Santa Barbara. They formed in 1989, went on hiatus in 2000, and reunited several times over the years. Their name comes from the band's tour van, which can be seen on the back cover of their 1994 second album ''Trashed (album), Trashed''. NOFX
NOFX () was an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Bassist/lead vocalist Fat Mike, rhythm guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin were original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release by the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. El Hefe joined the band in 1991 to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the best-known iteration of the lineup. Bored (band)
Bored (stylised as Bored!) were an Australian punk band formed in Geelong in 1987. The original line-up was Grant Gardner on bass guitar, Adrian Hann on keyboards, Justin Munday on drums, John Nolan on guitar (ex-Behind the Magnolia Curtain) and Dave Thomas on guitar and vocals (ex-Bodies, Slaughter House). In 1989 Gardner was replaced by Tim Hemensley (ex-Royal Flush, God). Both Hemensley and Nolan left in 1991 to form Powder Monkeys. Bored! released five studio albums by 1993 and disbanded later that year. "Teenage Kicks" is the debut single by Northern Irish punk rock band the Undertones. Written in the summer of 1977 by J.J. O'Neill, the band's rhythm guitarist and principal songwriter, the song was recorded on 15 June 1978 and initially released that September on independent Belfast record label Good Vibrations, before the band signed to Sire Records on 2 October 1978.
