Hugo Llorens (born September 7, 1954) is a retired American diplomat. He is a former U.S. Special Chargé d'Affaires of the Afghanistan–United States relations, U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, (2016–17) and United States Ambassador to Honduras (2008–2011). In his 36-year career he was posted to numerous countries spanning 6 continents. Nayda Collazo-Llorens (born 1968 in San Juan, PR) is a visual artist whose work spans drawing, painting, printmaking, installation, video, and public art. Her work combines images, sound, and text to investigate how the mind processes information. While themes of displacement, alienation, and synchronicity permeate her videos and interventions, her text-based works explore post-alphabetic communication, hyperconnectivity and “noise” as systems of information. Collazo-Llorens is the granddaughter of the Puerto Rican literary critic, linguist, and lexicographer, Washington Llorens. Though born and raised in Puerto Rico, she attended college and graduate school in the United States, receiving her BFA in printmaking and graphic design from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1990 and her MFA from New York University in 2002. Tomás Llorens i Serra (born 4 October 1936 in Almassora, Valencian Community, Spain, died 10 June 2021 in Dénia, Marina Alta, Spain), was a Spanish art and architecture historian, museum director, curator, university professor, and art critic renowned for his work on art and architecture theory and aesthetics, especially regarding the 19th and early 20th centuries. He was director of the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern in Valencia in 1986-1988, director of the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid in 1988-1990, and director of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid in 1991-2005. Lisa Christina Llorens, OAM(born 17 January 1978) is an Australian Paralympic athlete. She was born in Canberra. She specialises in Paralympic high jumping, long jumping, and sprinting, participating in competitions for athletes with autism. Llorens is known as "The Cheetah" because she has a great affinity with cheetahs. She commented "I feel like I have a connection with the cheetahs, because I'm quite shy, like a cat, and I run so fast." An educational documentary was made about her called ''Lisa Llorens: A Cheetah on the Track''. Carlos Llorens Mestre (born 1 September 1969) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a left-back. A player of attacking penchant, he was also a penalty kick specialist. He played for 11 teams during his career, amassing La Liga totals of 125 games and 11 goals with Rayo Vallecano, Osasuna and Alavés and retiring at the age of 40. Luis Lloréns Torres (May 14, 1876 – June 16, 1944), was a Puerto Rican poet, playwright, and politician. He was an advocate for the independence of Puerto Rico. Josep Llorens i Artigas (16 June 1892 – 11 December 1980) was a Spanish ceramic artist known for his collaboration with Joan Miró. He is credited with relaunching ceramics as a European art form.
