Liu Yang (gymnast)
Liu Yang (; born 10 September 1994) is a Chinese artistic gymnast. He is the 2020 Olympic and 2014 World champion on rings. He was a member of the Chinese team who won gold at the 2014 World Championships and also won bronze in the team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Career Liu began gymnastics when he was five years old. At the 2013 Cottbus World Cup, Liu won the silver medal on the rings behind Greek gymnast Eleftherios Petrounias. He finished fourth in the rings final at the 2013 World Championships. At the 2014 World Championships, Liu competed alongside Cheng Ran, Deng Shudi, Lin Chaopan, You Hao, and Zhang Chenglong, and they won the gold medal in the team event. Eleftherios "Lefteris" Petrounias ( gr, Ελευθέριος "Λευτέρης" Πετρούνιας; born 30 November 1990, Athens) is a Greek artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic champion, 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, three-time World champion (2015, 2017, 2018) and a six-time (2011, 2015–18, 2021, 2022) European medalist on the still rings (six gold and one bronze). He was named the Greek Male Athlete of the Year, for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Early life and education Petrounias grew up as a hyperactive child, and at the age of five, his mother brought him to the Panionios Gymnastics Club so that he could release his energy. This article describes the qualifying results for 10 nominative spots (6 MAG, 4 WAG) earned through the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series for the 2020 Summer Olympics. It further describes the results for six non-nominative spots (3 MAG, 3WAG) earned through the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup All-Around series by nations who have qualified a for the team events at those Games. Denis Mikhailovich Ablyazin ( rus, Денис Михайлович Аблязин, , dʲɪˈnʲis ɐˈblʲæzʲɪn, born 3 August 1992) is a Russian artistic gymnast. 2017 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was the forty-seventh edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from October 2–8, 2017, at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event marked the first time since 2003 that the Championships had been held in North America. Montreal was also the host of the 1985 World Championships and the 1976 Summer Olympics. The men's rings competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held at the HSBC Arena on 6 and 15 August. There were 70 competitors from 34 nations. The event was won by Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece, the nation's first medal in the men's rings since 2004 (and third overall). Zhang Chenglong (; born May 12, 1989) is a Chinese gymnast. He competed for the national team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's artistic team all-around and helped win the team gold medal.
