Denis Ablyazin
Denis Mikhailovich Ablyazin ( rus, Денис Михайлович Аблязин, , dʲɪˈnʲis ɐˈblʲæzʲɪn, born 3 August 1992) is a Russian artistic gymnast. Ablyazin is Olympic Champion 2020 in Tokyo and a seven-time Olympic Games medalist. At the 2012 London Olympics he won silver in vault and bronze in floor. At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he won silver with the Russian men's team, a silver in vault and bronze in rings. He is also three-time European vault champion (2013, 2014 and 2019), the 2014 European champion on floor and rings and the 2014 World Champion on floor. Personal life Ablyazin was born on 3 August 1992 in Penza, Russia. He represents Russia. In September 2016, Ablyazin married Ksenia Semyonova, a Russian former gymnast who won two world titles. Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different types of apparatus. The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (; ), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. The Universiade was organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and by the authorities of the Russian Federation. The FISU World University Games, formerly the Universiade, is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The former name is a Blend word, portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. 2012 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 30th European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held from 23 to 27 May 2012 at Montpellier. The senior and junior events are different. During the senior's qualification the top eight teams progress to the team final, and the top eight gymnasts (two per nation maximum) on each apparatus qualify for the individual finals. After the qualification for the juniors the team medals and places are awarded. 2014 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 31st European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held from 19 to 25 May 2014 at the Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria. They were held in conjunction with the 2014 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships, which ended 18 May in the same arena. It was the fourth time the senior and junior women's and men's European championships had been held in one location, which posed logistical difficulties for the organizers; there were also issues with installing the podiums and apparatuses. For team events, five gymnasts were on each team; for seniors, three gymnasts competed on each apparatus, and all three scores counted toward the team total, while for juniors, four gymnasts could compete on each apparatus, with the top three scores counting. 327 gymnasts, 177 senior and 150 junior, from 39 countries competed at the event. 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2017 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was the forty-seventh edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from October 2–8, 2017, at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event marked the first time since 2003 that the Championships had been held in North America. Montreal was also the host of the 1985 World Championships and the 1976 Summer Olympics.
