Liu Huan
Liu Huan (born August 26, 1963, in Tianjin) is a Chinese singer and songwriter. He is one of China's modern era pioneers in pop music. He combines his music career with teaching the history of Western music at the Beijing University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. Early life On August 26, 1963, Liu Huan was born into a family of teachers in Tianjin. Liu graduated from Yaohua High School in Tianjin in 1981. Four years later, he graduated from the University of International Relations in Beijing, majoring in French literature. During his university days, he participated in a French songwriting competition and won first prize, as well as sponsorship from the French government to go on a tour to Paris. Following that, Liu was sent to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China for one year to help promote local education by teaching music there, and the time he spent there had an influence on his music. ''Singer'' (), previously known as ''I Am a Singer'' (), is a Chinese singing competition show broadcast on Hunan Television. It is based on the Korean show '' I Am a Singer''. The competition was opened to well-known professional singers from the music industry across worldwide, and featured a rotating cast of singers performing each week, usually with seven singers, who performed in front of a 500-member audience. The votes cast from the audience were the sole determinant for the results and one singer who received the fewest votes is eliminated while a new singer substituted in place of that singer, featuring a constantly changing lineup of artist throughout the series. Sing! China (season 2)
The second season of the Chinese reality talent show ''Sing! China'' premiered on 14 July 2017 on Zhejiang Television. Jay Chou and Na Ying returned as coaches. Eason Chan and Liu Huan replaced Wang Feng and Harlem Yu as coaches. The show is hosted by Hu Qiaohua, who had previously hosted the finals in the last season and replaced Li Yong, who left after just one season. Harlem Yu (; born 28 July 1961) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, television host and businessman. Yang Kun (; born 18 December 1972) is a Chinese singer-songwriter. He was one of the judges of TV talent show '' The Voice of China'' during the first season and third season of the show. He was on the first season of '' Sing My Song'' and was a contestant as one of the seven initial singers on '' Singer 2019'' finishing fourth place. ''The Voice of China'' () is a Chinese reality television singing competition broadcast on Zhejiang Television. It began at 20:00 China Standard Time ( UTC+08:00) on Friday, 8 August 2008, as the number 8 is considered to be auspicious.
