Hunan TV
Hunan Television or Hunan TV () is a provincial satellite TV station officially launched on 29 September 1970 and is currently China's second-most-watched channel, second only to CCTV-1, owned by China Central Television, although Hunan STV occasionally overtook CCTV-1 in ratings. Hunan TV's signal covers most of China, including Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas as (Hunan STV World) in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Americas, Tajikistan, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, South Africa, Canada, United States, India, Nepal, Africa, Europe and other countries and regions landing. The channel broadcasts in high-definition since September 28, 2009. The appearance of its logo has resulted in the nickname of "Mango TV". Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) () formerly known as Golden Eagle Broadcasting System (GBS), is China's second biggest state-owned television network after China Central Television (CCTV). The television network is owned by the Hunan provincial government. The network is based in Changsha in Hunan and Xining in Qinghai. On 20 May 2009, the television network expanded its service to Hong Kong and North America. Super Boy (TV Series)
''Super Boy'' or ''Happy Boy'' (; literally "Happy Boys") was a Chinese singing contest for male contestants. It was organized by Hunan Satellite Television in 2007, as a spin-off of its popular '' Super Girl'' series. It's a talent show which aims at uncovering talented tomorrow new male stars. Outline Partly inspired by the many spinoffs of the UK show ''Pop Idol'', the competition was open to any male contestant regardless of his origin, appearance, or how he sings. The restricted audition sessions drew contestants over the age of 18. Many applicants travelled long distances to take part in the competition hoping to become the next pop star in China and elsewhere. Back To Field ''Back to Field'' ( Chinese: 向往的生活; pinyin: ''Xiàngwǎng de shēnghuó'') is a Chinese reality show on Hunan TV. The show documents the simplistic lifestyle of living away from the bustling city centers. Format Each season takes place in a different rural part of China. The cast members are only provided with the basic life necessities and have to take care of everything else such as cooking their own meals and building their own furniture. To "buy" different cooking ingredients and other tools, they have to complete certain tasks assigned by the production crew, such as planting and harvesting crops.
