Litsey
Litsey (russian: Лицей; ''Lyceum'' in English) is a Russian pop rock girl group from Moscow, formed on 12 December 1991. The original band's imagery – teen female trio with guitars – was unusual in post-Soviet Russia. While the band line-up was changed several times, vocalist Anastasiya Makarevich has remained the unchanged member of the group since its inception. The band is best known for the songs "Osen'" (Осень; Autumn) and "Kak ty o nyom mechtala" (Как ты о нём мечтала; How You Have Dreamed of Him). Original trio debuted in 1991 with АВВА's song "One of Us" on the TV show ''Morning Star'' (Утренняя звезда). Litsey was on top of the Russian music charts in 1990s and 2000s with several songs. Anna Yuryevna Pletnyova (russian: link=no, А́нна Ю́рьевна Плетнёва; born 21 August 1977) is a Russian singer, composer, and songwriter. An ex-member of the Russian pop-group Litsey (from 1997 to 2005), Pletnyova has been a member of the pop-group ''Vintage'' since 2006''.'' In 2016, she left Vintage and started a solo career. Pletnyova has been included several times in the "Top 100 Sexiest Women in the World" of the Russian edition of ''FHM'', including rankings on the 7th place in both 2012 and 2014, as well as 8th place in 2015. Evgeny Margulis
Evgeny Shulimovich Margulis (russian: Евге́ний Шу́лимович Маргу́лис; born 25 December 1955) is a Russian rock and blues musician. He was a member of the bands Mashina Vremeni (1975-1979, 1990-2012) and Voskreseniye (1979-1980, 1994-2003) and currently performs solo. He is considered a "guru" of Moscow rock ‘n’ roll. In 1999, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist. Biography Evgeny Margulis was born in 1955 in Moscow to a middle-class family of Jewish descent. His father was an engineer and his mother was a high school teacher. Ovation (award)
Ovation is a Russian national music award in the field of entertainment and popular music. Along with MTV Russia Music Awards, it is one of the major mainstream music awards in Russia, with other awards in the Russian entertainment industry, such as Nika Award and Golden Eagle Award. The first Ovation ceremony was held in 1992, initiated by businessman Grigory Kuznetsov. The awards can be compared to American Grammy Awards and British Brit Awards. The award has been held every year with the exception of 1993 and 2003 to 2007. Between 2009 and 2012 as well, the award was not held, even though it indicated that the award is not discontinued.
