Flavour Network
Flavour Network (formerly known as Food Network) is a Canadian English language discretionary specialty channel owned by Corus Entertainment. It broadcasts programming related to food, cooking, cuisine, and the food industry, including competition, reality, and travelogue-style programs. The channel was originally established on October 9, 2000 as a Canadian version of the U.S. cable channel Food Network, in a joint venture between Corus, Alliance Atlantis, and Food Network U.S. majority owner E. W. Scripps Company. It replaced the U.S. version of Food Network (which had been distributed in Canada since 1997) on television providers. Through various ownership changes, Corus Entertainment later became the majority owner of the channel. In June 2024, Rogers Sports & Media announced that it had acquired Canadian rights to Warner Bros. Discovery factual and lifestyle television brands beginning in 2025, including Food Network. Ned Bell (born June 12, 1973) is a Canadian television personality and executive chef. In 2008 he appeared in one episode of ''Cook Like a Chef'', Its Just Food and on Global B.C. Weekend Monday News Saturday Chef segment. Early life Born on June 12 in Okanagan, British Columbia, at the age of 12, Bell cooked for his younger siblings and that is what kick started his love for food and cooking. When he turned 15, he got his first job washing dishes. In 1991 he graduated high school from Magee Secondary School. Shereen Arazm Koules (born 1972) is a Canadian restaurateur, nightclub owner, and television personality who lives in Los Angeles. She was also the "resident" judge on the highly rated television series, ''Top Chef Canada'' for four seasons and the brand ambassador for Nespresso Canada in 2013 and 2014. ''Top Chef Canada'' is a Canadian reality competition television series. The show premiered on April 11, 2011, on Food Network Canada (now Flavour Network). The first season consisted of 13 episodes, with 16 contestants vying for a grand prize of $100,000 and a General Electric, GE Monogram kitchen valued at $30,000.
