Many environmental film festivals present complete programs of films dedicated to environmental subjects on a regular basis, typically annually. Others are committed to presenting environmental films within their subprograms. Nature
Nature, in the broadest sense, is the physical world or universe. "Nature" can refer to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. The study of nature is a large, if not the only, part of science. Although humans are part of nature, human activity is often understood as a separate category from other natural phenomena. Băile Felix
Băile Felix ( hu, Félixfürdő) is a thermal spa resort near the commune of Sânmartin in Bihor County, Transylvania, Romania. Băile Felix is at a close distance to Oradea, a major city in western Romania. History Thermal springs were valued in the eighteenth century by the monk Félix Helcher of the Monastery of Klosterbruck (de) in Moravia, administrator of the Váradszentmárton (today: Sânmartin, Romania) monastery. Between 1711-1721 the first treatment facilities were organized under the name of Félixfürdő (in Romanian: Baia lui Felix). Félix Helcher died in 1737. In 1885 a new spring, with a temperature of 49 °C, was found. The thermal springs were discovered around 1000, or around 1200, or according to other experts, only in 1700. The only fact agreed by all experts is the appearance of the first buildings in this resort: between the years 1711–1721. Environmental Film Festival Australia
The Environmental Film Festival Australia is a film festival which screens domestically and internationally produced environmental films around Australia. History The festival launched in 2010 as the Environmental Film Festival Melbourne and has been held annually since. In 2015, the festival changed its name to reflect its intention to expand and held additional screenings in Canberra and Hobart. In 2016 the festival presented screenings in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Hobart. In 2017 the festival presented screenings in Melbourne and Canberra. In 2018 the festival will present screenings in Melbourne. Governance The festival is a 100% volunteer-run organisation. The current director is Nathan Senn. Previous directors were Brooke Daly and Chris Gerbing. The Artivist Film Festival & Awards is an international film festival and awards ceremony dedicated to recognizing activist efforts of filmmakers, specifically in the areas of human rights, child advocacy, environmental preservation, and animal rights. Background The Festival is held annually and tours internationally. Its mission is to strengthen the voice of activist/artists (''"artivists"''), while raising awareness for global causes. The festival is produced by Artivist Collective, a nonprofit organization founded in August 2003 by Diaky Diaz, Bettina Wolff, and Christopher Riedesel. Shoreditch, London
Shoreditch is a district in the East End of London in England, and forms the southern part of the London Borough of Hackney. Neighbouring parts of Tower Hamlets are also perceived as part of the area. In the 16th century, Shoreditch was an important centre of the Elizabethan Theatre, and it has been an important entertainment centre since that time. Today, it hosts many pubs, bars and nightclubs. Expo 2015 was a World's fair, World Expo hosted by Milan, Italy. It opened on May 1 at 10:00 Central European Summer Time, CEST and closed on October 31. Sinaia
Sinaia () is a town and a mountain resort in Prahova County, Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Muntenia. The town was named after the Sinaia Monastery of 1695, around which it was built. The monastery, in turn, is named after the Biblical Mount Sinai. King Carol I of Romania also built his summer residence, Peleș Castle, in Sinaia in the late nineteenth century.
