LionsXII ("Lions Twelve"), also known as Singapore LionsXII, was a Football in Singapore, Singaporean youth association football, football club founded in 2011 that played in the Malaysia Super League, the top tier of football in Malaysia, Malaysian football, from their inaugural season until their dissolution following the 2015 season. Their home ground was the 10,000-capacity Jalan Besar Stadium. Managed by the Football Association of Singapore, the squad marked the return of Singapore to domestic football in Malaysia since the Singapore FA, Singapore FA's representative team (nicknamed the "Lions") was dissolved following the Malaysia Cup in 1994. Jalan Besar Stadium
Jalan Besar Stadium, officially the Jalan Besar ActiveSG Stadium, is a football stadium located in Kallang, Singapore. The stadium is part of the Jalan Besar Sports and Recreation Centre, a community sports facility that includes the stadium as well as a swimming complex. Tatsuma Yoshida
is a Japanese football manager and former player. He was previously the head coach of the Singapore national team, serving from 2019 to 2021 which he was famously known in the country for enhancing Singapore fluidity football. As a player, Tatsuma spent the majority of his career with Montedio Yamagata. Early life Tatsuma was born in Chiba Prefecture on June 9, 1974. Abdul Kadir Yahaya (born 15 February 1968) is a Singaporean retired footballer. He is currently the Head of youth at Thai League 1 club, BG Pathum United. The penalty shootout is a method of determining a winner in sports matches that would have otherwise been drawn or tied. The 2012 Malaysia Cup ( Malay: ''Piala Malaysia 2012'') was the 86th edition of Malaysia Cup. The competition began on 24 August 2012 and ended on 20 October 2012 with the final, held at Shah Alam Stadium. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into four groups, each containing four teams. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after 6 matches qualified to the quarterfinals. The 2012 Malaysia FA Cup, also known as the Astro Piala FA due to the competition's sponsorship by Astro Arena, was the 23rd season of the Malaysia FA Cup, a knockout competition for Malaysia's state football association and clubs. Terengganu FA were the defending champions. The cup winner qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup. Format Several changes have been made to the competition for 2012.
