Line 2 (Wuhan Metro)
The Line 2 of Wuhan Metro () is the first underground metro line crossing the Yangtze River. The line started its trial run on September 25, 2012, and officially opened on December 28, 2012. It is Wuhan's second metro line after Line 1, and the city's first underground line, since Line 1 is mostly elevated. Line 2 runs in a northwest–southeast direction, connecting Hankou and Wuchang, including and major commercial districts. The number of single day passengers on Line 2 has exceeded 500,000 on Jan 1, 2013, the first weekday after its opening, excluding elders holding free passes. When more lines interchangeable with Line 2 open around 2015, the passenger volume could reach 1 million per day. And such number was consistently reached by April 2017. To accommodate such huge traffic numbers, all stations on Line 2 have been extended to the length of 8-car trains for future use. Huangpi District
Huangpi District () is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China, situated on the northern (left) bank of the Yangtze River. The Sheshui enters the Yangtze at Huangpi. The district is primarily rural, but also includes important infrastructure facilities, such as Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and Wuhan North Railway Station, which is one of the main freight stations and classification yards on the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway. It is the northernmost of Wuhan's districts as well as the most spacious. Prince Edward is a MTR station on the Tsuen Wan line. It is located under the intersection of Nathan Road and Prince Edward Road West, after which it is named. History Prince Edward was primarily designed as a cross-platform interchange between the Kwun Tong and s. A cross-platform interchange is a type of Interchange station, interchange between different lines at a metro (or other railway) station. The term originates with the London Underground; such layouts exist in other networks but are not commonly so named. In the United States and Canada, it is often referred to as a cross-platform transfer. This configuration occurs at a station with island platforms, with a single platform in between the tracks allocated to two directions of travel, or two side platforms between the tracks, connected by level corridors. The benefit of this design is that passengers do not need to use stairs to another platform level for transfer. Wuhandong railway station (), formerly known as Liufang railway station (), is a railway station located in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The new railway station opened on August 12, 2022. It is served by the Wuhan–Xianning intercity railway and Line 2 and Line 11 of the Wuhan Metro. Trams in Wuhan may refer to any one of the tram systems currently operational in the city of Wuhan, Hubei, China. The first tram started revenue service in Wuhan is the Auto-city T1 Line, which began on July 28, 2017. Subsequently, Optics Valley tram started revenue service from April 1, 2018. Systems Auto-city trams Auto-city T1 line () started revenue service on July 28, 2017, and is the first line of the Auto-city trams. It runs from Chelun Square to Deshenggang in Hanyang District for a length of with 22 stations. At Chelun Square it is transferable to Zhuanyang Boulevard Station on Line 3, Wuhan Metro. Hongshan District () forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China.
