Lilia Cosman
Lilia Cosman (born August 6, 2007) is an American-born Romanian artistic gymnast. She joined the Romania women's national artistic gymnastics team in 2022, becoming the national champion on the uneven bars. She represented Romania at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Life and career 2007–2022: Early life Cosman was born on August 6, 2007 in Lansing, Michigan, as a dual citizen of the United States and Romania. Her parents were both born in Romania and immigrated to the United States in 2001. She began gymnastics at the age of four because her older sister was also a gymnast. 2022–23: Junior competitions Cosman moved to Deva, Romania, at age 15, in 2022 and joined the Romanian national team. The age requirements in gymnastics are established by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) and regulate the age at which athletes are allowed to participate in senior-level competitions. Zsófia Kovács (; born 6 April 2000) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2017 and 2023 European all-around silver medalist, the 2020 European champion on uneven bars, as well as the 2020 and 2022 European champion on vault. Gymnastics At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article describes the qualifying phase for gymnastics at the 2024 Summer Olympics. A total of 318 gymnasts (192 in artistic, 94 in rhythmic and 32 in trampoline) will qualify. The qualification pathway for the 2024 Summer Olympics is significantly simplified and modified from those in 2020. In the artistic team event, a maximum of five gymnasts will be eligible to participate as opposed to the four per team and two individuals who competed in Tokyo 2020. Three teams who finish on the podium qualify for the Olympics through the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool with a large proportion of quota places distributed at the same meet in Antwerp, Belgium by the following year. Andreea Preda (born 23 May 2006) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She represented Romania at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2020 Junior European team champion and balance beam bronze medalist. Career Espoir Preda competed at the 2017 Romanian Junior Championships, placing eighth in the all-around in her age group. In the event finals, she placed seventh on uneven bars and balance beam and eighth on floor exercise. Amalia Alexandra Ghigoarță (born 28 January 2007) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. She represented Romania at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2022 Junior European Championships team and all-around silver medalist. Career Ghigoarță began gymnastics when she was seven years old. Espoir Ghigoarță made her international debut at the 2019 Elek Matolay Memorial and placed fourth all-around in the espoir division. At the 2019 Petrom Cup, a domestic competition, she placed fifth all-around. The 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Antwerp, Belgium at the Sportpaleis, from 30 September to 8 October 2023. Sabrina Maneca-Voinea (born June 4, 2007) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. Personal life Voinea was born in Constanța in 2007. Her mother, Camelia Voinea, is a former artistic gymnast who competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal with the Romanian team. When Sabrina was young, Camelia brought her to the gym where she worked as a coach, and Sabrina became interested in gymnastics herself. Sabrina is coached by her mother.
