Liberal Pride
Liberal Pride is an Australian organisation for LGBT conservatism and liberalism in Australia. It is affiliated and is the official LGBT branch of the Liberal Party of Australia (Victorian Division). The Liberal Pride branch operating in Victoria maintains a presence across the state. Although LGBT networks and friendship groups exist within other divisions of the Liberal Party of Australia, the Victorian Liberal Pride Branch is presently the only formal LGBT Branch of any division of the part. The group campaigns for LGBT rights alongside the main political beliefs and policies of the Liberal Party, which it promotes within the party, LGBT community, and the wider public. LGBT Conservatism
LGBT conservatism refers to LGBT ( lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) individuals with conservative political views. It is an umbrella term used for what is bifurcated into two specific sub-categories, each with its own term and meaning. The first sub-categorical term, Pre-Stonewall LGBT Conservatives, refers to LGBT individuals embracing and promoting (even in the post-Stonewall era) the ideology of a traditional and often anti-LGBT (or at least non-"LGBT-friendly") conservatism in either a general or specifically-LGBT social context or environment. The second sub-categorical term, Post-Stonewall LGBT Conservatives, refers to self-affirming LGBT persons with fiscally, culturally, and politically conservative views. Katie Allen (politician)
Katrina Jane Allen (born 24 February 1966) is an Australian politician and former medical researcher who was a member of the House of Representatives from 2019 until 2022. She is a member of the Liberal Party and represented the Division of Higgins in Victoria. Early life Allen grew up in country New South Wales and went to boarding school at Melbourne Girls Grammar. Her father was born on Ocean Island in the British colony of Gilbert and Ellice Islands (present-day Kiribati). She held British citizenship by descent until March 2019 when she renounced it to run for parliament. David McLean Davis (born 8 April 1962) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the Victorian Legislative Council since March 1996, representing East Yarra Province from 1996 until 2006 when it was abolished and the Southern Metropolitan Region from 2006 onwards.
