Tim Wilson (australian Politician)
Timothy Robert Wilson (born 12 March 1980) is an Australian politician and a member of the Liberal Party of Australia who has served as the Federal Member for Goldstein. In the 2016 Australian federal election, Wilson was elected to the Australian House of Representatives for the seat of Goldstein. He then lost his seat to independent candidate Zoe Daniel in the 2022 Australian federal election. Wilson served as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Economics from 2018 to 2021 and as the Assistant Minister to the Minister for Industry, Energy and Emissions Reduction from 2021 to 2022. Before entering politics, Wilson was a policy director at the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) from 2007 to 2013 and Australia's Human Rights Commissioner from 2014 to 2016.
