Liberal Democrat Voice
Liberal Democrat Voice (also known as "Lib Dem Voice") is a political blog. The site claims to be read by over 50,000 individual visitors per month specialising in British Liberal politics. Robin Fenwick created the site on Friday 8 September 2006. Since July 2007, it has been run by a collective of Liberal Democrat members, activists and bloggers. The site aims to present views from a range of people and perspectives on the Liberal Democrats. The editorial line is neutral on matters of debate within the party and party selections and elections. The site conducts regular surveys of Liberal Democrat members, which serve as a respectable bellwether of party opinion: mainstream UK press such as The Independent cite these, most notably over the issue of Vince Cable being the preferred candidate to succeed Nick Clegg as party leader. Sal Brinton
Sarah Virginia Brinton, Baroness Brinton (born 1 April 1955), known as Sal Brinton, is a British politician who served as president of the Liberal Democrats from 2015 to 2020. In November 2010 she was nominated to the House of Lords, taking her place on 10 February 2011 having been created Baroness Brinton, ''of Kenardington in the County of Kent'' on 4 February. After Jo Swinson lost her seat at the 2019 general election, Brinton and Sir Ed Davey became acting co- leaders of the Liberal Democrats. After Brinton's term as party president ended, her successor Mark Pack also succeeded her as acting co-leader with Davey. Davey was elected as permanent leader of the party in 2020. Mark Pack
Mark Anthony Pack, Baron Pack (born 27 July 1970) is a British politician who has served as the president of the Liberal Democrats since 1 January 2020. After the party's leader, Jo Swinson, lost her seat in the 2019 United Kingdom general election, 2019 December election, Pack served as acting leader alongside Ed Davey from 1 January 2020 to 27 August 2020, when Davey was elected as leader. Education Pack read History and Economics at the University of York from 1988 to 1991. He then undertook a PhD in history, studying nineteenth-century elections, initially at the University of Exeter, before transferring back to the University of York to complete it, in 1994. Jenny Willott
Jennifer Nancy Willott OBE (born 29 May 1974) is a British politician. She was the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Cardiff Central from 2005 to 2015. Willott became a junior minister in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and Government Equalities Office in December 2013, temporarily standing in for Jo Swinson while Swinson was on maternity leave. Brian Paddick
Brian Leonard Paddick, Baron Paddick (born 24 April 1958), is a British life peer and retired police officer. He was the Liberal Democrat candidate for the London mayoral elections of 2008 and of 2012, and until his retirement in May 2007 was a deputy assistant commissioner in the Metropolitan Police Service. Paddick joined the Metropolitan Police in 1976.
