Lemmy Jackson
Otu Udofa, professionally known as Lemmy Jackson, is a Nigerian music producer who produced songs for many prominent Nigerians artists of the 1980s. He produced ''Wait for Me'' a duet by Onyeka Onwenu and King Sunny Adé, he also worked with Alex O, the Mandators, Tera Kota and Ras Kimono. Life Jackson was educated at QIC Primary School, Eket and at the Etinan Institute. He later studied Metallurgy in Russia before moving to England. In London, Jackson worked as a session musician, an encounter with Laolu Akins and his band BLO led to him playing as a keyboardist for BLO. His career took off in 1981 after he was hired as an in-house producer by Pail Aifuwa, a businessman who had founded a new record label, Time Communications in Lagos. At Time, he produced Oby Onyioha's record ''I Want To Feel Your Love'' and also ''Tonight'', Jackson's debut album. King Sunny Adé
Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye (born 22 September 1946), known professionally as King Sunny Adé, is a Nigerian jùjú singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is regarded as one of the first African pop musicians to gain international success, and has been called one of the most influential musicians of all time. Sunny Adé formed his own backing band in 1967, eventually known as his African Beats. After achieving national success in Nigeria during the 1970s and founding his own independent label, Sunny Adé signed to Island Records in 1982 and achieved international success with the albums '' Juju Music'' (1982) and ''Synchro System'' (1983); the latter garnered him a Grammy nomination, a first for a Nigerian artist. Eket
Eket is one of the 31 local government areas in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The name ''Eket'' or Ekid also refers to the indigenous ethnic group of the region and to their language. The Eket people use the endonym ''Ekid'' for themselves and their language, but Europeans spell and pronounce the name as "Eket". Olaoluwa Akintobi (born 1946) popularly known as Laolu Akins is a Nigerian music producer who has worked with artists such as Shina Peters, Onyeka Onwenu, Adewale Ayuba, Mike Okri and Christy Essien-Igbokwe. Christiana Uduak Essien-Igbokwe, MFR (11 November 1960 – 30 June 2011) was a Nigerian musician and actress. Called "Nigeria's Lady of Songs", she was known for her songs "Seun Rere" Tete Nula, Ife, Hear the Call and Give me a Chance. She was the first female president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), and the chairwoman and managing director of Soul Train Entertainment.
