Leah Neset
Leah Neset (born December 7, 2005) is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Artem Markelov, she is the 2023–24 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist, and a three-time U.S. junior national champion (2022, 2023, 2024) Neset/Markelov finished fifth at the 2023 World Junior Championships. Personal life Neset was born on December 7, 2005, in Minot, North Dakota to mother Cheri, a dental hygienist and skating coach, and father Kris, a civil engineer. She has a younger sister, Kylie. Career Early years Neset became interested in taking up skating at the age of three as her mother was involved in the sport, and her father was a college hockey player. ISU Junior Grand Prix Final
The ISU Junior Grand Prix Final or JGP Final (titled the ISU Junior Series Final in the 1997–98 season) is the culmination of a series of junior-level competitions – the ISU Junior Grand Prix organized by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earn qualifying points at each Junior Grand Prix event. At the end of the series, the six highest-placing skaters from each discipline advance to the JGP Final. Isabella Flores
Isabella Flores (born April 30, 2003) is an American ice dancer. With her current skating partner, Ivan Desyatov, she is the 2023 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist. With her former skating partner, Dimitry Tsarevski, she is the 2021 JGP France II silver medalist, the 2021 JGP Poland silver medalist, and the 2021 U.S. junior national pewter medalist. Personal life Flores was born on April 30, 2003, in Wiesbaden, Germany to parents Holly, a financial advisor, and Tony, a consultant, both of whom served in the U.S. Army. She has a younger sister, Olivia, who competes for the U.S. in pair skating. Lake Placid Ice Dance International
The Lake Placid Ice Dance International is an annual ice dance competition held in Lake Placid, New York. It was first held in 1932. 2023 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2023 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was held in Calgary, Canada, from February 27 to March 5, 2023. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation at the 2024 World Junior Championships.
