Laya (actress)
Laya (born 21 October 1981) is a former Indian actress and Kuchipudi dancer known for her work primarily in Telugu language, Telugu films alongside a few Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language, Tamil films. Laya first appeared as a child actor in ''Bhadram Koduko'' (1992) and later she started working as a lead actress with ''Swayamvaram (1999 film), Swayamvaram'' (1999). She is runner up in the Star 2000 contest conducted to introduce new talent and cast them in Paradesi movie and she has won three Nandi Awards including Nandi Special Jury Award, Special Jury Award and two Nandi Awards for Nandi Award for Best Actress, Best Actress in consecutive years for ''Manoharam (2000 film), Manoharam'' (2000) and ''Preminchu'' (2001).
