Lawal Adamu Usman
Lawal Adamu Usman, commonly known as Mr. LAA, is a Nigerian politician who currently serves as a senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 10th Nigerian National Assembly. He emerged as the senator-elect after the 2023 Nigerian general election, running on the platform of the People's Democratic party (PDP) with 250,066 votes. Mr. La defeated APC candidate, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi (popularly known as Dattijo). Mr. La's journey to the Senate began in the 2019 Nigeria general election when he initially contested for the same position. However, but he didn't succeed and his opponent Uba Sani, who eventually emerged victorious in that election. Mr. La remained committed to his political aspirations. Uba Sani
Uba Sani (born 31 December 1970) is a Nigerian engineer and politician who has served as governor of Kaduna State since 2023. He previously served as the senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district from 2019 to 2023. Career Sani went into politics after the return of Democracy in Nigeria in 1999, and supported the People's Democratic Party presidential candidate, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. After winning the presidential election, Sani was appointed special adviser on public affairs to the president. He also worked at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on some advisory roles to the then FCT Minister, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai and the Kaduna State Ministry of Housing and Works. All Progressives Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. This marked the first time in Nigerian history that an opposition party unseated a governing party and power was transferred peacefully.
