It was established by the then Northern Region Government of Nigeria in November 1962. The Kingdom of Zazzau, also known as the Zaria Emirate, is a traditional state with headquarters in the city of Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. Amina (also Aminatu, died 1610; ) was a Hausa people, Hausa historical figure in the Hausa Kingdoms, city-state Zazzau (now city of Zaria in Kaduna State), in what is now the north-west region of Nigeria. Hausa Kingdoms, also known as Hausa Kingdom or Hausaland, was a collection of states ruled by the Hausa people, before the Fulani jihads. It was situated between the Niger River and Lake Chad (modern day northern Nigeria).
