Late Nite Tuff Guy (aka Carmelo Bianchetti, DJ HMC) is a South Australian DJ and electronic music producer, best known for his disco re-edits, including some official work for the Salsoul label. Biography He launched his own label, Tuff Cuts, in 2013. He has officially produced remixes for artists including New Order, Herb Alpert and Timmy Thomas. His work during the 1990s under the pseudonym DJ HMC earned him the title of "Godfather of Australian Techno". He performs in nightclubs and at major music festivals regularly. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Salsoul Records is an American New York City based record label, founded by three brothers, Joseph Cayre, Kenneth Cayre, and Stanley Cayre (the Cayre brothers). Salsoul issued about 300 singles, including many disco/post-disco 12-inch releases, and a string of albums in the 1970s and early 1980s. The label started in business in 1974, went defunct in 1985 and was relaunched in 1992. Herb Alpert (born March 31, 1935) is an American trumpeter, pianist, singer, songwriter, record producer, arranger, conductor, painter, sculptor and theatre producer, who led the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass (sometimes called "Herb Alpert and the TJB") in the 1960s. Timothy Earle Thomas (November 13, 1944 – March 11, 2022) was an American R&B singer, keyboardist, songwriter, and record producer, best known for the hit song, " Why Can't We Live Together". Life and career Thomas was born in Evansville, Indiana, on November 13, 1944, one of twelve siblings. He first attracted interest in his work as an accompanist with Donald Byrd and Cannonball Adderley, before working as a session musician in Memphis, Tennessee, and releasing singles on the Goldwax Records label. He had little solo success until he moved to Glades Records in Miami, Florida, and in late 1972 he released "Why Can't We Live Together". "Too Young to Die" is a song by British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai, released in March 1993 by Sony Soho Square as the second single from their debut studio album, ''Emergency on Planet Earth'' (1993). The song was written by lead singer Jason Kay and Toby Smith, and produced by Kay. The original version of the track runs at 10:18; however, both the single and album versions were cut, running at 3:22 and 6:05, respectively.
