Lovisenlund is a multi-purpose stadium in Larvik, Norway. It is the home ground of Larvik Turn & IF, Larvik Turn. The record attendance is about 17,000, from a 1956 match between Larvik Turn and Fredrikstad FK. It was used for the Norwegian football cup final of 1931, when Odd Grenland, Odd played Mjøndalen IF. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Gunnar Halle
Gunnar Halle (born 11 August 1965) is a Norwegian football manager and former player who is the current head coach of Hønefoss. A former right back, he is best known for his playing spells at Oldham Athletic and Leeds United, followed by his brief managerial spell at Lyn Oslo. Halle played professionally in England and for the Norway national team. In total he was capped 64 times and scored five international goals, including a memorable hat-trick against San Marino, and was included in the squads for the 1994 FIFA World Cup and 1998 FIFA World Cup. Tom Sundby (born 15 December 1960) is a former Norwegian footballer. A midfielder who scored 6 goals in 39 caps for the national team, he participated in the 1984 Summer Olympics. His father Reidar Sundby was a football player. The elder brother Reidar Sundby jr also and once went to Twente with his friend Hallvar Thoresen. Career Youth and Lyn Raised in Stavern Sundby followed in the footsteps of his father, Reidar Sundby, began playing football, first at the youth side of the local club Stag, then in Larvik Turn. Hallvar Thoresen
Hallvar Thoresen (born 12 April 1957) is a former Norwegian footballer who played most of his career in the Dutch Eredivisie as an attacking midfielder. The son of former Norwegian international Gunnar Thoresen, Hallvar Thoresen was central in 1980s Norwegian football. Career Club Thoresen started his career in Larvik Turn, but travelled abroad at the age of nineteen, and soon became a regular at FC Twente in the Netherlands. They won the Dutch Cup in 1977 and Thoreson was the club top-scorer in the 1979–80 and 1980–81 seasons. In the summer of 1981 he was sold to PSV Eindhoven for 1.3 million Dutch guilder where he formed a dynamic partnership with Jurrie Koolhof. Gunnar Thoresen (footballer)
Gunnar Nils Thoresen (21 July 1920 – 30 September 2017) was one of the greatest Norwegian footballers of the 1940s and 1950s. A forward, played 64 matches and scored 22 goals for the Norway national team and took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics. His last appearance for Norway came on 28 June 1959, less than a month before his 39th birthday, making him the oldest-ever Norwegian player to play for his national team. On club level Thoresen spent his entire career with Larvik Turn. He made his first-team debut for the club on 17 May 1937, in a match against Lisleby. His career was interrupted by World War II, but quickly established himself among the best players in Norway when organized football resumed in 1945, and made his international debut against Denmark on 16 June 1946.
