Larestan Region
Larestan or Laristan (Larestani: لارستان) is a region in the South of Iran, located in the west of Hormozgan, South of Fars, and South of Bushehr province. It is mostly consisted of Persians followed by Turkics, Arabs, Balochs, and Africans. Larestanis are about 1,000,000 living in Larestan with an estimated 2,000,000 Larestanis living in Arab states of the Persian Gulf, due to extensive immigration occurring in the 19th and 20th century for better job opportunities and a better life. Arab States Of The Persian Gulf
The Arab states of the Persian Gulf refers to a group of Arab states which border the Persian Gulf. There are seven member states of the Arab League in the region: Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Achomi Language
Achomi ( fa, اچُمی), also known as Larestani and Khodmooni, is a Southwestern Iranian Persian language spoken by people in southern Fars and western Hormozgan and by significant numbers of immigrant groups in Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other Persian Gulf Arab countries. It is the predominant language of Larestan, Khonj, Gerash, Lamerd, and Evaz counties in Fars and Bastak County in Hormozgan Province. It is also spoken by some Huwalas in the Gulf countries. The majority of Achomi speakers are Sunni Muslims.
