Landon Cabell Garland (1810–1895), an American, was professor of physics and history and university president three times at different Southern Universities (Randolph Macon, Alabama, Vanderbilt) while living in the Southern United States for his entire life. He served as the second president of Randolph–Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, from 1836 to 1846; then professor from 1847 to 1855, and then third president of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, from 1855 to 1867; and first chancellor of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1875 to 1893. Landon Pembelton (born February 2, 2005) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the Late Model Stock Car division at South Boston Speedway and the Virginia Triple Crown, driving the No. 00 Chevrolet Camaro for R&S Race Cars. Racing career Early career Pembelton debuted in organized racing in 2019, running eight races at South Boston Speedway, collecting six top-fives. Landon Pearson
Landon Carter "Lucy" Pearson (; 16 November 1930 – 28 January 2023) was a Canadian Senator and a children's rights advocate. She was the daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson, through her marriage to his son Geoffrey Pearson. Pearson was appointed to the Senate of Canada on 15 September 1994 by then Prime Minister Jean Chrétien and sat with the Liberal caucus. Landon Parvin (born 1948) is a Republican speech writer who has written for several U.S. politicians, including Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. She is known for her large-format paintings and her contribution as a professor at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design where she continues as Professor Emeritus).
