Lakawon
Lakawon, also called Llacaon, is a , banana-shaped island off the coast of Cadiz in the northern portion of Negros Occidental, a province in the Negros Island Region of the Philippines. A white sand beach resort on the island, a family-run business, is a popular destination for both local and foreign tourists. Etymology The term ''Lakawon'' is derived from a Cebuano word ''lakaw'', meaning "to walk". The island may have gotten its name because during low tide, one has to literally walk or wade a long distance to or from the main island. Guimaras Strait
Guimaras Strait is a strait in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, connecting the Visayan Sea with the Panay Gulf and Sulu Sea beyond. Typhoon Haiyan, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda, was one of the most powerful tropical cyclones ever recorded. Jukung
A jukung or kano, also known as cadik is a small wooden Indonesian outrigger canoe. It is a traditional fishing boat, but newer uses include "Jukung Dives", using the boat as a vehicle for small groups of SCUBA divers. The double outrigger jukung is but one of many types of Austronesian outrigger canoes that use the crab claw sail traditional throughout Polynesia. Whilst this sail presents some difficulties in tacking into the wind, actually requiring to jibe around, a jukung is superb in its reaching ability and jibe-safe running. They are usually highly decorated and bear a marlin-like prow. People in Kalimantan also named their boat Jukung.
