Laguna City
Laguna City () is a large-scale private-housing estates built in Sai Tso Wan, Kowloon, Sai Tso Wan, Kwun Tong District, in east Kowloon, eastern Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was developed jointly by Cheung Kong Holdings and Hutchison Whampoa Property and completed in the early 1990s. The estate is also home to Laguna City F.C., Laguna City Football Club and Laguna Gully Cricket Club. Location Laguna City is built along Lam Tin's waterfront. Part of Laguna City is built on Land reclamation in Hong Kong, reclaimed land. The development is adjacent to Cha Kwo Ling Village, one of the last shanty town, squatter villages in Hong Kong. Sai Tso Wan, Kowloon
Sai Tso Wan is an area near Kwun Tong in Kowloon, Hong Kong. History At the end of the 18th century, Hakka settled into the Cha Kwo Ling area, and quarrying became their main occupation. Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL) was an investment holding company based in Hong Kong. It was a Fortune Global 500 company and one of the largest companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Ap Lei Chau
Ap Lei Chau or Aberdeen Island is an island of Hong Kong, located off Hong Kong Island next to Aberdeen Harbour and Aberdeen Channel. It has an area of after land reclamation. The Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL; ) is a system of 70 static and 12 mobile public libraries in Hong Kong. Offering a total collection of 14.35 million items, the system is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The network of libraries are interconnected by a computerised library management system, one of the largest bilingual systems in the world, offering both Chinese and English capabilities. The library head office is located on the eleventh floor of the Hong Kong Central Library in Causeway Bay. Kwun Tong Ferry Pier
Kwun Tong Ferry Pier () is a ferry pier situated on Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The pier was originally situated at Ngau Tau Kok called " Ngau Tau Kok Ferry Pier" (), but during the 1960s, due to reclamation work, the pier was moved to Kwun Tong. The ferry pier complex consists of three piers: a passenger ferry pier, a vehicular ferry pier and a public pier. Parts of the ground floor and upper floor of the vehicular ferry pier were used as Kwun Tong Driving School. There is a footbridge linking Kwun Tong Ferry Pier and Manulife Financial Centre. The passenger ferry pier used to provide services to both Shau Kei Wan and North Point, but after the Shau Kei Wan service was terminated, its half of the ferry pier was converted into a supermarket. Victoria Harbour
Victoria Harbour is a natural landform harbor, harbour in Hong Kong separating Hong Kong Island in the south from the Kowloon Peninsula to the north. It acts as both a major trading hub and tourist attraction of Hong Kong in general. Lying in the middle of the territory's dense urban region, the harbour is also the site of annual fireworks displays and promenades which are used as gathering attractions for local residents and tourists. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), is a department in the Government of Hong Kong. It reports to the Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau, headed by the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism. Urban Council
The Urban Council (UrbCo) was a municipal council in Hong Kong responsible for municipal services on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon (including New Kowloon). These services were provided by the council's executive arm, the Urban Services Department. Later, the equivalent body for the New Territories was the Regional Council (Hong Kong), Regional Council. The council was founded as the Sanitary Board in 1883. It was renamed the Urban Council when new legislation was passed in 1936 expanding its mandate.
