La Secta AllStar
La Secta AllStar (or simply La Secta) is a rock en Español band from Puerto Rico. The band members are Mark Kilpatrick (bass guitar), Gustavo Laureano (singer), John Lengel (drums), and Mike Genao (guitar). They are known mostly for the song "La Locura Automática". Band history Mark Kilpatrick and Gustavo Laureano met in Orlando, Florida where they studied sound engineering. After graduating they moved to Miami Beach and started working. They also began rehearsing in a local warehouse along with drummer John Lengel and guitarist Carlos Figueroa. They soon began writing and composing their songs and started playing at local clubs in Miami and Puerto Rico. It is during this time that artists like Ricky Martin and Ednita Nazario discovered them. In 1995, Martin recorded the song " Bombón de Azúcar" and in 1996, Nazario recorded "Ultima Vez", also written by Laureano. The Lo Nuestro Awards or Premios Lo Nuestro (Spanish for "Ours") is a Spanish-language awards show honoring the best of Latin music, presented by TelevisaUnivision, and is carried by its Univision network in association with its related radio stations known as the Uforia Audio Network. Eddie Dee
Eddie Alexander Ávila Ortiz (born April 26, 1977), originally known by his stage name Eddie Dee, is a Puerto Rican rapper. He began his career in 1990 and launched his debut studio album three years later. His second album became popular in Puerto Rico and was titled ''Tagwut'' in 1997. It featured the hit single "Señor Official". His following releases ''El Terrorista de la Lírica'' (2000) and ''Biografía'' (2001), likewise enjoyed underground success. Wisin & Yandel
Wisin & Yandel were a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of Wisin and Yandel. They started their career in 1998 and stayed together until 2023, winning several awards including a Grammy Award in 2009. They became the first and the only reggaeton artists to win one. In late 2013, they announced they would take a pause in their career as a duo, after their Líderes Tour. In a 2014 interview with ''People en Español'', Yandel confirmed that the group would not be disbanding. Wilkins Vélez
Wilkins (born March 10, 1953) is a Puerto Rican pop music singer and composer. Early years Wilkins (birth name: Germán Wilkins Vélez Ramírez was born in the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, but raised in Mexico City, Mexico. His father, Germán Vélez Forestier, was a radio announcer and part-time singer (he was Mon Rivera's singing partner at the beginning of Mon's career in El Duo Huasteca). As a child, Wilkins enjoyed putting on a "show" for his loved ones, which included his sister Bruni Vélez, who would later become a newscaster and TV journalist in Puerto Rico.
