12 Discípulos
''12 Discípulos'' (''English: 12 Disciples'') is the debut compilation album, and fifth overall, by Puerto Rican people, Puerto Rican reggaeton rapper Eddie Dee. It was released on January 29, 2004, and independently distributed by Diamond Music. ''12 Discípulos'' features eleven other reggaeton musicians, who were among the most requested in the genre at the time. These include Daddy Yankee, along with Ivy Queen, Tego Calderón, Voltio, Vico C, Zion & Lennox, Nicky Jam, Johnny Prez, Gallego, and Wiso G. ''Diva'' is the third studio album by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen. It was released on August 23, 2003 and independently distributed by Real Music Group after being dropped from Sony Discos. The recording followed her two previous studio albums which were commercially unsuccessful and a hiatus from her musical career beginning in 1999. It featured collaborations with Latin hip hop artists including Mexicano 777, Bimbo and K-7 while the album's production was handled by a variety of musical producers; Luny Tunes, DJ Nelson, Noriega, and Iván Joy were enlisted, while DJ Adam produced a majority of the tracks. Lyrically, the album explored female empowerment, infidelity, heartbreak and love with "a veritable compendium of her artistic passion, femininity, and culture". Valerie Morales
Valerie Morales (born January 18, 1976), also known simply as Valerie or Valerie Flow, is a Puerto Rican singer who has worked with a variety of musical performers including Daddy Yankee, Wisin Y Yandel, and Hector & Tito, among others. She was born and raised in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Morales began her acting career in 2001 and her musical career in 1996. Musical career 2001–2002: Career beginnings In 2001, Morales began appearing in various sketches for comedies on Puerto Rican television. Glorimar Montalvo Castro (born February 14, 1979), known professinally as Glory, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton singer. Music career Glory has one of reggaeton's most recognized female voices. She has popularized phrases such as ("loose as a shoestring", slang meaning "promiscuous") and ''dame más gasolina'' ("give me more gasoline"). Machete Music
Machete Music is an urban music label owned by Universal Music Group. The label was once largely associated with reggaeton music, but in recent years, it has also signed non-reggaeton artists such as Malverde, Mala Rodriguez and Chino XL. The label is part of Universal Music Latin Entertainment. Machete Music is one of the most prevalent labels in the reggaeton genre. According to Toy Selectah (also known as Toy Hernández, A&R of the label from 2004 to 2007), its president Gustavo López "suggested the name Machete, in part because of Control Machete, Hernández's former band". Johnny Prez
Johnny Prez (or J Prez as he often calls himself) (Born December 4, 1978) is a reggaetón music artist from Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. Career He used to belong to the group "Kid Power Posse" and the duo "Déificos," meaning "belong to God." recorded his first album of Spanish reggae, "Los Nenes De La Medicina" in 1992. Johnny Prez made Spanish reggae popular in Puerto Rico. Since then, he has released three Reggaetón albums, "El Dragón" in 2003, "The Prezident" in 2005, which reached number 14 in Billboard (magazine), Billboard's Latin albums' chart, and "The Knockouts" in 2007. However, many feel he has not received the recognition that he deserves. In 2011 he returned with his brother Pedro Prez in a duo called "Tha Prez". Nick Rivera Caminero (born March 17, 1981), known professionally as Nicky Jam, is an American singer. He is best known for hits such as " X", " Travesuras", " El Perdón", " Hasta el Amanecer", and " El Amante"; the latter three are from his 2017 album '' Fénix''. He has frequently collaborated with other Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Ozuna, Plan B and Anuel AA. Zion & Lennox was a Puerto Rican music duo from Carolina, Puerto Rico. In 2004, Zion & Lennox released their first studio album titled '' Motivando a la Yal'' under White Lion Records. After their first album, Zion & Lennox decided to start their own label, Baby Records Inc. The duo was made up of Félix Ortiz (Zion) and Gabriel Pizarro (Lennox). Personal lives Félix Ortiz Torres and Gabriel Pizarro were born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. They met in 1992, while living in the same neighborhood and having common interests in reggaeton.
