Kyle Stevenson
Helmet is an American alternative metal band from New York City formed in 1989 by vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton. Helmet has had numerous lineup changes with Hamilton as the only constant member. Since 2010, the band has consisted of Hamilton, drummer Kyle Stevenson, guitarist Dan Beeman and bassist Dave Case. Helmet has released nine studio albums and two compilation albums. After releasing their debut album, ''Strap It On'' (1990), on Amphetamine Reptile, Helmet signed to Interscope Records and released three albums for the label, including the highly successful '' Meantime'' (1992). Their next two albums ― '' Betty'' (1994) and ''Aftertaste'' (1997) ― were also successful, but did not match the critical or popular acclaim of ''Meantime''. Wacken Open Air
Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a Heavy metal music, heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and heavy metal music, metal are represented and hosted. Size Matters
''Size Matters'' is the fifth album by the American alternative metal band Helmet, released in 2004 on Interscope Records. It is the first new album since the band ended with a bitter break-up in 1998, and it is also their final album to be released through Interscope. Background Page Hamilton, the band's founder and chief songwriter, is the only original member appearing on the album. Therefore, some fans object to it being called "Helmet" and consider it to be a Page Hamilton solo project. According to Hamilton, founding members John Stanier (drums) and Henry Bogdan (bass) both declined the invitation to reunite. Stanier even publicly criticized Hamilton and the new Helmet in 2004. John Stanier (drummer)
John Stanier is an American drummer who is best known for his work with alternative metal band Helmet. He currently plays in experimental rock band Battles and Tomahawk, and has previously performed with The Mark of Cain, as well as performing on several releases as a studio musician. He is known for his speed, endurance, and precision as a performer. Stanier uses a Tama Artstar II drum kit. Biography Stanier grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Florida and is a veteran of the local hardcore music scene. He is known for having a drum corps background, but never actually marched a summer season. He played tenor drums for the Florida Wave Drum and Bugle Corps through a few years of their winter/spring camps. Peter Mengede
Peter Mengede (born 1962) is an Australian musician best known as a former guitarist for alternative metal band Helmet. He formed his own group, Handsome, in 1995 with former members of Quicksand, Cro-Mags and Murphy's Law. They released one album in 1997 before disbanding. Henry Garnet Bogdan Jr. (born February 4, 1961, in Riverside, California) is an American musician best known as the original bass guitarist and a founding member of the alternative metal band Helmet. Bogdan was born Henry Garnet Bogdan Jr. on February 4, 1961, in Riverside, California and later moved to Oregon. He started his music career as a drummer for the band Poison Idea. After he left Poison Idea, Bogdan quit drumming and started playing bass guitar. He formed the band Helmet in 1989 with Page Hamilton, Peter Mengede, and John Stanier. Bogdan played bass for all of Helmet's albums released from 1990 to 1997 which included ''Strap It On'', '' Meantime'', '' Betty'', and ''Aftertaste''. Band of Susans was an American alternative rock No Wave band formed in New York City in 1986 and active until 1996. It originally consisted of Robert Poss (guitar/vocals), Susan Stenger (bass/vocals), Ron Spitzer (drums), with Susan Lyall (guitar), Susan Tallman (guitar), and Alva Rogers (vocals).
