Kuala Langat Municipal Council () is the municipal council which administers Kuala Langat District. This agency is under the purview of Selangor state government. History Established on January 1, 1977, under the Local Government Act 1976 by a combination of 3 Local Councils: Sg. Jarom, Tanjung Sepat Local Council, Kuala Langat Municipal Board, Kuala Langat Sanitary Board. Early establishment 3.7 square miles (9.6 km), 2001 increased to 62,294 km2 and 2006 increased to 857.70 km2 including 3 nautical miles. Sultan Sir Abdul Samad ibni Almarhum Raja Bendahara Raja Abdullah ( Jawi: سلطان عبد الصمد ابن المرحوم راج عبد الله; born Raja Abdul Samad bin Raja Abdullah, 1804 ''–'' 6 February 1898) was the fourth Sultan of Selangor. Tanjung Sepat (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: تنجوڠ سڤات; zh, 丹绒士拔) is a town in Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is on the Strait of Malacca. It is administered by the Zone 24 of the Kuala Langat Municipal Council. Kampung Kundang is a village located nearby. Tanjung Sepat is primarily a fishing town. Most of the inhabitants have some kind of connection to the fishing industry, although the relative importance of fishing to the economy is dwindling due to pollution in the Straits of Malacca. Many locals believe this is caused by the high amounts of pig-farming in the surrounding areas of the state. Morib is a mukim in Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, under the administration of Zone 18 of Kuala Langat Municipal Council. Morib Beach is a quiet seaside tourist attraction. Carey Island () is an island in Selangor, Malaysia. It is administered by the Zone 17 of the Kuala Langat Municipal Council. Carey Island is located to the south of Port Klang and north of Banting town. It is a huge island separated from the Selangor coast by the Langat River, connected by two bridges from Chodoi and Teluk Panglima Garang near Banting and a bridge from Pulau Indah and Pulau Carey. Jugra (Jawi: جوڬرا, zh, 蚶山) is a mukim, historical town and a former royal town in Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is separated from Pulau Carey by the Langat River. The town is administered by the Zone 16 of the Kuala Langat Municipal Council.
