Krishan Pathak
Krishan Bahadur Pathak (born 24 April 1997) is an Indian field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Indian national team. Early life Pathak was born on 24 April 1997 in Kapurthala, Punjab. He is of Nepalese descent; his parents migrated from Lugdi village in Nepal to Punjab in 1990. His ancestral village is about six hours away from the capital Kathmandu. Despite not being interested in the sport, Pathak had joined the Surjit Hockey Academy in Jalandhar when he was 12 at the insistence of his father. Pathak's mother died when he was 12, while his father Tek Bahadur Pathak, a crane operator, died of a heart attack in 2016. Career Pathak was part of the Indian junior team that won the 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup in Lucknow. He was then selected in the India A team for the 2017 Men's Australian Hockey League. 2018 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup
The 2018 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup was the 27th edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. It was held in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia from 3 to 10 March 2018. The number of teams for this year's cup was the same as last year's tournament where six teams competed. Japan and New Zealand, who competed previously, did not join this edition and were replaced by Argentina and Ireland. England was Great Britain's only country that participated in this edition. 2017 Men's Australian Hockey League
The 2017 Men's Australian Hockey League was 27th edition of the men's Australian Hockey League. The tournament was held between 28 September and 8 October 2017, in Perth, Western Australia. A total of 10 teams competed for the title. Like the 2016 edition, invitational teams from India and New Zealand competed in the tournament. The VIC Vikings won the tournament for the fourth time and the second year in a row, following a 3–0 penalty shoot-out win over the QLD Blades after the final finished a 1–1 draw. The Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, formerly known as the Hockey Junior World Cup, is an international field hockey competition organized by the International Hockey Federation. The tournament was started in 1979. Since 1985 it was held every four years. From 2021 onwards the tournament has been held every two years.
