Dniester
The Dniester ( ) is a transboundary river in Eastern Europe. It runs first through Ukraine and then through Moldova (from which it more or less separates the breakaway territory of Transnistria), finally discharging into the Black Sea on Ukrainian territory again. Chortkiv Raion
Chortkiv Raion () is a raion in Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine. Its capital (political), administrative center is the city of Chortkiv. It has a population of History In the Second Polish Republic, the area belonged to the County of Kopczynce, Tarnopol Voivodeship. Following the First Partition of Poland in 1772, it became part of the Habsburg monarchy's Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. The Podolian Upland (Podolian Plateau) or Podillia Upland (, ''Podilska vysochyna'') is a highland area in southwestern Ukraine, on the left (northeast) bank of the Dniester River, with small portions in its western extent stretching into eastern Poland. Kozova
Kozova (; ; ) is a rural settlement in Ternopil Raion, Ternopil Oblast, western Ukraine. It is located in the historical region of Galicia, east of Berezhany, some west of Ternopil, and southeast of Lviv. It hosts the administration of Kozova settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The settlement is situated beside a lake on the Koropets River (“little carp”). There is presumption that the name Kozova comes from the Ukrainian word ''koza'' (goat), though other possible sources exist. Monastyryska ( ; ; ) is a small city in Chortkiv Raion, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. In 2001, the population was 6,344. The town is situated on the river Koropets, from Buchach, south-east from Lviv, on the road between Ternopil or Berezhany and Ivano-Frankivsk. The river Koropets forms a wide lake.
