Kopren Waterfall
Kopren Waterfall ( sr, Копренски водопад, Koprenski vodopad) is the second highest waterfall in Serbia. It is located on Stara Planina mountain in southeast Serbia and high. Between 16 June 2011, when it was measured, and 9 June 2012, when the waterfall Kaluđerski Skokovi was measured, Kopren was considered the highest waterfall in Serbia. Location The Kopren waterfall is situated in the area of the Dojkinci village, northeast of the city of Pirot, to which it administratively belong. The waterfall is located under the Kopren peak of the Stara Planina mountain. The peak is high, while the waterfall is at an altitude of . Characteristics The Kopren waterfall is high, long, with and average inclination of 56,4 degrees. It is located on the stream of ''Dabidžin potok'', not far from its spring. Pirot ( sr-cyr, Пирот) is a city and the administrative center of the Pirot District in southeastern Serbia. According to 2011 census, the urban area of the city has a population of 38,785, while the population of the city administrative area has 57,928 inhabitants. The Pirot District ( sr, Пиротски Округ, Pirotski Okrug, ) is one of nine administrative districts of Southern and Eastern Serbia. It expands to the south-eastern parts of Serbia. Stara Planina
The Balkan mountain range (, , known locally also as Stara planina) is a mountain range in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe. The range is conventionally taken to begin at the peak of Vrashka Chuka on the border between Bulgaria and Serbia. It then runs for about , first in a south-easterly direction along the border, then eastward across Bulgaria, forming a natural barrier between the northern and southern halves of the country, before finally reaching the Black Sea at Cape Emine. Kaluđerski Skokovi
Kaluđerski Skokovi ( sr, Калуђерски Скокови) is the highest waterfall in Serbia. It is located on the Stara Planina mountain in southeast Serbia. Only discovered in 2012, it is high, which is over twice more than the Kopren Waterfall, previously the highest waterfall in Serbia, which itself was discovered only a year earlier. Location The Kaluđerski Skokovi falls are situated in the area of the Topli Do village, northeast of the city of Pirot, to which it administratively belongs. The headwaters of a river or stream is the farthest place in that river or stream from its estuary or downstream confluence with another river, as measured along the course of the river. It is also known as a river's source.
