François Konter
François "Bitzi" Konter (20 February 1934 – 29 August 2018) was a Luxembourgish professional football (soccer), footballer. Club career Konter started his career at local team Chiers Rodange but played much of his club football in Belgium, for R.S.C. Anderlecht, RSC Anderlecht and K.A.A. Gent, AA Gent. International career He played for Luxembourg national football team, Luxembourg's national team at the height of the country's footballing strength, making his debut in October 1955 against Switzerland national football team, Switzerland, and was an integral part of the team that almost reached the semi-finals of the 1964 UEFA European Football Championship, 1964 European Championship. During his international career, Konter played 77 games and scored four goals. He played in 16 FIFA World Cup qualification matches.

Konter Cliffs
Mount Giles () is a mainly snow-covered mountain, high, located south-southeast of Lynch Point on the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The mountain is the highest elevation on the divide between the seaward ends of Frostman Glacier and Hull Glacier. Discovery and name Mount Giles was discovered on aerial flights from the West Base of the United States Antarctic Service (USAS) in 1940. It was named for Walter R. Giles technical sergeant, United States Marine Corps (USMC), copilot and radio operator on some of these flights. Location Mount Giles is the high point of the divide between Frostman Glacier to the west and Hull Glacier to the east before they enter Hull Bay on the coast of Marie Byrd Land. Other features of the divide include the Konter Cliffs, Lynch Point and Miller Spur. Layered gabbro crops out at Mount Giles, holding quartz-free plagioclase, clinopyroxene and olivine.
