Kondapi Assembly constituency is a Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste reserved constituency in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Ongole Lok Sabha constituency. Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy is the current Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Telugu Desam Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 231,547 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 1955, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (1955)''. 1983 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 1983 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was held in May 1983 for all 294 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. The elections were conducted to elect the government in the state of Andhra Pradesh for the following five years. The TDP secured a huge majority winning 201 seats. The Indian National Congress secured only 60 seats. The election was held in January 1983 instead of August 1983 as scheduled. N. T.
