Koh Jia Ler ( zh, 许家乐; born 11 November 2000) is a Singaporean actor who is best known for starring in the Anthony Chen films ''Ilo Ilo'' and ''Wet Season''. Career Koh starred in the 2013 drama film ''Ilo Ilo''. For his performance in the film, he was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best New Performer. He had a supporting role in ''Life - Fear Not''. He starred in the 2019 drama film ''Wet Season''. For his performance in the film, he was nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor. Anthony Chen (born 18 April 1984) is a Singaporean film director, screenwriter and film producer. He is known for directing the feature films ''Ilo Ilo'' (2013) and ''Wet Season'' (2019). His debut feature film, ''Ilo Ilo,'' won the Camera d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, making him the first and only Singaporean to have been awarded at Cannes Film Festival. ''Ilo Ilo'' (; literally: "Mom and Dad Are Not Home") is a 2013 Singaporean drama film. The debut feature of director Anthony Chen, the film features an international cast, including Singaporean actor Chen Tianwen, Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann, Filipino actress Angeli Bayani, and debut of child actor Koh Jia Ler. ''Ilo Ilo'' premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival as part of the Directors' Fortnight on 19 May 2013. ''Wet Season'' () is a 2019 Singaporean drama film written, produced and directed by Anthony Chen. In the film, a teacher and a student in Singapore secondary school form a special, self-affirming relationship. The film stars Yeo Yann Yann and Koh Jia Ler. It received positive reviews and was released on 28 November 2019 in Singapore. The film is Chen's second feature film after ''Ilo Ilo'' in 2013 for which he won the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. The film reunites actress Yeo Yann Yann and actor Koh Jia Ler after their first collaboration in ''Ilo Ilo''. The film also stars Christopher Lee and Yang Shi Bin.
