Koh-rong
Koh Rong (, ) is an island in Preah Sihanouk province, Cambodia. It is the second largest island of Cambodia. The word ''Rong'' might refer to an old term for "cave" or "tunnel" (, ). It can also refer to the Old Khmer word for shelter, adding up to ''Shelter Island''. Located about from Sihanoukville, the island has an area of approximately and of its entire coastline of are beaches. Four village communities exist on the island: Koh Tuich, Doeum D'keuw, Prek Svay and Sok San. The island is a popular local tourism destination with numerous hotels, resorts and guesthouses. Koh Rong was established as a commune in 2000, and became a city in 2019. It is the site of a 99-year land concession by The Royal Group to develop the island, and is one of the islands within the Koh Rong Marine National Park that was established in 2018. Sihanoukville (city)
Sihanoukville (, ), also known as Kampong Saom (, ) or Preah Sihanouk (, ), is a coastal city in Cambodia and the capital of Preah Sihanouk Province, at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country's south-west on the Gulf of Thailand. The city has a string of beaches along its coastline and coastal marshlands bordering Ream National Park in the east. It has one navigable river, the mangrove-lined Ou Trojak Jet, running from Otres Pagoda to the sea at Otres. Several sparsely inhabited islands under Sihanoukville's administration are near the city. ''Koh-Lanta'' is a French reality game show based on the international ''Survivor'' format. The series premiered on August 4, 2001. The show is broadcast on TF1 and there have been 22 regular seasons and 7 special seasons. The show has been hosted by Denis Brogniart since the second season.
