Knut Vartdal
Knut Vartdal (born 1 October 1940) is a Norwegian politician from the Centre Party. He was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Fisheries in 1968 when the cabinet Borten held office. He lost this job when the cabinet fell in 1971, but returned from 1972 to 1973, during the cabinet Korvald. He served as a deputy representative in the Norwegian Parliament from Møre og Romsdal during the term 1973–1977. Centre Party (Norway)
The Centre Party ( no, Senterpartiet, Sp; se, Guovddášbellodat), formerly the Farmer's Party ( no, Bondepartiet, Bp), is an agrarian political party in Norway. Ideologically, the Centre Party is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum, it advocates for economic nationalist and protectionist policy to protect Norwegian farmers with toll tariffs, and it supports decentralisation. It was founded in 1920 as the Farmers' Party ( no, link=no, Bondepartiet, Bp) and from its founding until 2000, the Centre Party joined only governments not led by the Labour Party, although it had previously supported a Labour government in the 1930s. This turned around in 2005, when the party joined the red–green coalition government led by the Labour Party. Klaus Sunnanå
Klaus Sunnanå (29 January 1905 – 22 January 1980) was a Norwegian ''Mot Dag'' member, economist and fisheries director. He was born in Avaldsnes as a son of teacher and farmer Knut Andreas Søndenaa (1871–1948) and Lisa Kristine Thuestad (1880–1958). He took his secondary education at Voss in 1926, and graduated from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.oecon. degree in 1930. He was a member of ''Mot Dag'', and chaired the Norwegian Students' Society in 1932. As a ''Mot Dag'' member, he was a prolific contributor to ''Arbeidernes leksikon'', and Sunnanå followed as the organization became merged into the Labour Party in 1936. In 1935 Sunnanå was hired in the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries. His publication ''Lofotfiskets lønnsomhet '' in 1936 was perhaps the world's first publication within fishery economics. Hallstein Rasmussen (22 April 1925 – 28 February 2016) was a Norwegian civil servant. Rasmussen was born in Fræna, and graduated from the University of Oslo in 1952. He was first hired at the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries in 1953, where he worked as secretary for the director Klaus Sunnanå. From 1958 to 1968 he served as secretary general for the trade union . In Norway, a state secretary ( no, statssekretær) is a partisan political position within the executive branch of government. Contrary to the position secretary of state in many other countries, a Norwegian state secretary does not head his or her ministry, rather, they are second in rank to a minister. Resembling a ''de facto'' vice minister, the state secretary, however, cannot attend a Council of State, and does not act as a temporary minister in case of illness or other leave of absence. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland.
